"Scarabs" is a 3D animated short film that reimagines the ancient Egyptian myth of the sun god Ra in a dystopian, futuristic setting.

In a world dependent on the energy of the sun, each member of society contributes to its survival by sacrificing itself to ensure the possibility of a new day.
Once they reach the mask, the conduit between the godly forces and the people, they ascend to the temporary status of God before they inevitably are destroyed by the sheer force they chose to give their life energy to.
